The Pewaukee School District offers over 60 Summer School courses over the span of four sessions. Referencing the graphic below, Session A and B courses are for students who are entering grades 1st through 8th. Session C and D courses are for students entering 9th through 12th. Lastly, PLE offers "Jump Start" courses for our incoming 4K, 5K, and 1st Grade learners that also follow the Session A and B schedule. For more information on Jump Start, click on the links below.

Bring Your Own Hobby is a fun and engaging hands-on summer school course where students get to share, explore, and develop their favorite hobbies! Whether you're into drawing, coding, crocheting, sports, music, pokemon, or something totally unique, this class gives you the time and space to showcase your passion while learning from others. Not sure what you're passionate about yet? Discover new interests and make friends who are willing to share theirs! *Hobbies must be able to be done within a classroom setting (ie. No mountain biking in this course).
Required: Items for your hobby

Bring your American Doll
(if you have one) to class
and study the historical
time with Molly, Samantha,
and Addy. Fun tea parties
await you and your doll.

Can you identify this mystery animal? I have been known to eat the handles of rowboat oars, and even steering wheels on cars. This is just one of many animal mysteries we will unlock. Our focus will be upon the study of Wisconsin species. Students will also take home a souvenir
animal print t-shirt they
designed themselves. If
you can’t get enough of
animals, this camp is for
you!

This class is taught by a DNR trained instructor. Students will learn about ATVs including riding, laws and safety. There is a test that is given during the class in which students must pass with at least 80% to obtain a license. Required: Please note that students must be in attendance all 10 days and pay a fee of $10

Biology doesn’t just happen
in a forest, swamp, or ocean. It’s happening in your own backyard! You will explore plants from seeds to seedlings.

Improve your basketball
skills and increase your love
of the game. This class gives you the opportunity to practice with and compete against kids your own age.

Have you hugged a tree
today? We’ll discover all the
important things that trees
give us. Walking trips on campus and into the woods
will provide us with hands-on exploration of the mighty machines and a source of leaves for our tree identification booklets. Each student will plant a tree seed to take home. We’ll also add some
drama to our class as we act out the inner workings of the tree.

Create your own stylish beaded jewelry, from friendship bracelets to charm bracelets and trendy beaded rings

Looking forward to having a blast this summer?Join your friends and experience the fun and competitiveness of bocce ball and bags.

Have you always felt like
there was an actor or
actress hidden in you? Now
you have a chance to live
your dream of being a
drama queen or king. In
this exciting class you will
experiment with fun dramatic situations and activities. The course will culminate in a presentation in front of an audience.
Note: There will be a performance during the last
week.

Bring books to life by listening to and reading them. Students may create and/or perform a puppet show, play dress up, draw a picture, write a story or poem about their book. The ideas are endless!

Students will use many building materials such as Legos, omnifix cubes, toothpicks, etc. to design and build just like engineers!

Students will learn camping
basics including knot tying,
finding a great campsite and pitching a tent. Get ready for family camping fun!

Become an amateur graphic designer! This class is all about exploring an online graphic design platform that can make your presentations, art, and words come to life! We will explore the different
tools and templates in Canva to create calendars, posters, presentations, and more! Google it and you will see how great this platform is!

Everybody loves card
games! This class will hook
you into math through
playing cards. You will learn
and strengthen skills in
counting money, math
facts, problem solving,
place value, and other
mathematical concepts
through playing partner
and solitaire card games.

This class helps you under-
stand the game of chess. Students learn about chess pieces, moves, and strate-
gies used in the ever-popu-
lar game of chess! Who knows? You may have what
it takes to be a chess
champ!

This chess class offers competitive matches and strategies for the player that is advanced and knows chess.

Snip it, clip it, bead it, melt it, fold it, twist it, press it, and string it. This is just the beginning of what we will be doing. We’ll create some crafts that are crazy and kooky, and when you are done, you’ll get to take it home. Be part of the fun!

level? Try out Cricut Crafts
this summer! Spend three
weeks learning the Cricut
graphic design program to
make crafts come alive. Work with a range of materials from cardstock to iron on vinyl to create your very own personalized, profession-
al-looking projects. Leave this class with your own
unique cards, water bottle,
tote bag, and more!

Have you ever wondered where dog breeds began? What are the characteristics and traits? Learn all about man’s best friend.

Walk to the beat of your own drum in this class. You will learn how to play various metals, woods, shakers, scrapers, and drums with the proper technique. Your rhythmic skills will be strengthened as you participate in drum circle activities and games.

Duct tape isn’t just for fixing things anymore. Wallets, phone covers, board games; if you can imagine it, you can make it with duct tape. American teens have embraced this hot trend and will go ga-ga for this creative new art of crafting with duct tape. Come with your ideas and be ready to create!
Requirement: 2 rolls of duct tape, any color.

Puzzles, logic, mystery, collaboration, and more! This class encourages children to put their ideas together to solve abstract puzzles involved to solve the final mystery. After they experience a couple escape room examples, their creativity will take off as they create their own multi-step mystery. Challenge yourself and use your creative minds for this fun class!
