COLIN JACOBS DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES 262-695-5061 jacocol@pewaukeeschools.org Dr. Colin Jacobs serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Pewaukee School District, where he brings a strong background in educational leadership and a commitment to supporting staff and student success. Before taking on his current role, he was an elementary school principal, leading a school recognized as a National District of Character. His career began in the classroom, where he taught both 1st and 6th grades before moving into administration. In addition to his work in the district, Dr. Jacobs is the School Leadership Licensure Coordinator at Alverno College within the School of Education's Master's Degree Program. He earned his PhD through the Leadership, Learning, and Service Program at Cardinal Stritch University. He and his wife are proud parents of two children—one a graduate of Pewaukee High School and the other currently attending. Together, they enjoy spending time as a family and supporting Pirate athletics and school events.

PROJECTS IN MOTION On April 2nd, 2024, the Pewaukee community voted to pass a $28.5 million referendum which will primarily impact Pewaukee High School. Here, we will post continuous updates regarding design decisions, construction updates, and a behind the scenes look at the new future facilities. LEARN ABOUT THE PROJECT DESIGN SKETCH: Document Document Document PROJECT TIMELINE UPDATES Referendum Project THE PROJECT: ONE TWO THREE MAINTENANCE CTE AND ART FITNESS Projects would include A roof replacement at Pewaukee Lake (life cycle ends 2024-25) and B Horizon Elementary (life cycle ends 2025-26). HVAC C would also need to be replaced at portions of Pewaukee High School as they are original to the building. Finally, by installing D solar panels, the district will be able ot reduce the future energy costs for building operations. Flooring will be replaced at Horizon Elementary as well. Additions and renovations would occur at Pewaukee High School (PHS) to update Career and Technical Education and Art learning spaces which have not been largely touched since PHS’s construction in 1968. This would include a STEAM Innovation Hub, metals, woods, art, graphic design, engineering, fashion, and culinary. Physical Education and fitness spaces would need to be relocated A to allow for the renovation of the Career and Technical Education and Art facilities. This includes shifting the current weight room, boys locker room, storage, and classroom/office spaces south. Parking would also then need to shift south, pushing the practice field to the east. B CONSTRUCTION RENDERINGS: Referendum Timeline THE TIMELINE: FALL 2024 Site work & relocation of Lot 5 SPRING 2025 Start of construction SUMMER 2026 Completion of overall project FALL 2025 Completion of Fitness portion of project The Pewaukee School District is dedicated to responsibly managing its facilities and resources to provide students with dynamic learning experiences that prepare them for future success. Before the approval and construction on our current project, the district has undertaken a strategic process for facility planning and improvement, as outlined in the following highlights: December 12, 2022: Presentation of the Long-Range Facility Plan to the Board of Education. April 17 and May 15, 2023: Community events focused on facility and strategic planning. August 21, 2023: Engagement of Eppstein Uhen Architects and CG Schmidt for the Facility Master Plan process. October 10, 2023: Launch of a community survey regarding the facilities plan. January 15, 2024: Approval of the referendum question for the ballot by the Board of Education. April 2, 2024: Pewaukee community votes to pass the facility referendum. This timeline reflects the district's commitment to ensuring that its facilities meet the needs of both current and future students while upholding its mission to "Open the Door to Each Child’s Future."
