The Pewaukee School District Marketing and Communications Department manages district-wide communication efforts, including promoting events, news, and recognitions for all four schools. It produces two community publications, The Perspective, which reaches 15,000 homes, and the weekly PSD Post newsletter for families, staff, and students. The department also manages social media accounts (@PewaukeeSD on Facebook and Instagram) and supports student-led initiatives like The Hook and Hook Jr. publications.
Additionally, the department handles video promotion, live-streamed events, and recognition videos on social media and YouTube. It oversees the district’s branding, including websites, logos, and building designs, and fosters community engagement by keeping Pewaukee residents informed through internal and external forms of communication.

The Pewaukee School District shares a frequent emailed newsletters to families with the latest news and highlights across our four schools. This newsletter automatically goes to PSD families, staff, and the students of Asa Clark Middle School and Pewaukee High School.

DISTRICT
Each school also sends out their own monthly newsletters. These are sent to families who have students that attend that specific school. The newsletters are archived throughout the year and can also be found clicking the icons below.

John Stangler has served as the Director of Buildings and Grounds and Safety Coordinator for Pewaukee School District since 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in coaching competitive athletics, as well as a Master’s in Exercise and Sport Science – Sport Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
John has received multiple certifications, including the WASBO Facilities Certification, Certified School Risk Management (CSRM), and the School Safety & Security Coordinator Certification from WSCCA. In 2017, he was honored with the WASBO School Facilities Manager of the Year award, and in 2022, he received the Wisconsin School Safety Coordinator of the Year award. John loves working for Pewaukee because of the autonomy to make impactful decisions, the supportive culture, and the incredible team. He finds the dedication and passion of his colleagues inspiring, and values the collaborative and welcoming environment that makes every day meaningful. For John, Pewaukee is a place that truly values growth and community.
