Pewaukee Kiwanis

The Pewaukee Kiwanis Club is a dedicated and generous partner to the Pewaukee School District, continuously contributing time, resources, and support to enrich the school community. Their efforts have resulted in beautiful and meaningful additions to school spaces—ensuring all students feel acknowledged and celebrated. Kiwanis works alongside students to involve them in community activities such as gardening projects at Horizon Elementary and creating artwork for events like the RiverRun and Beach Party. Their generous donations help fund scholarships and support student-focused initiatives like Friends of Fine Arts. Whether through hands-on collaboration or behind-the-scenes support, Pewaukee Kiwanis plays an important role in uplifting and empowering the district’s students.

Sam Gerrits

Sam Gerrits, CEO of D&H Industries, is a visionary partner who exemplifies the power of school-to-workforce connections. He consistently opens the doors of his company to Pewaukee students, offering them hands-on learning opportunities that build real-world skills and inspire future career paths. Sam’s dedication to career and technical education is evident in his generous support, including a major contribution that provided Pewaukee High School with a new plasma cutter—an industry-grade tool that enhances classroom learning, supports the Robotics Club, and strengthens cross-curricular opportunities. Through his leadership, Sam demonstrates how business partnerships can elevate student experiences and prepare them for success beyond graduation.

WELLPOINT CARE NETWORK

Liz Davison

Liz Davison and her team at WellPoint Care Network have been instrumental in supporting student mental wellness at Pewaukee High School. As a dedicated liaison lead at WellPoint Counseling Services, Liz has worked closely with the school psychologist and District Social Worker to strengthen suicide prevention programming and ensure robust mental health support for students. Her compassionate, detailed approach provided vital support to both students and staff during a period of community grief following the loss of a student. Liz has played a key role in securing and implementing a grant that has significantly advanced mental health resources across the Pewaukee School District. Her exceptional care and attention to detail have fostered long-term mental wellness initiatives that benefit all students, contributing to sustainable structures that support the emotional well-being of the entire school community.

Mandie Reedy

Froetdert's Mandie Reedy is heavily involved in Community Outreach and has been a powerful partner for Pewaukee Schools!  She has supported our students and district in a variety of ways in the past several years.  She has helped to secure many, many healthcare mentors for our students, providing opportunities for our students to do deep dives into careers of interest before they graduate and embark on their post-secondary journeys.  She has served as a guest speaker for classes, helping students understand labor market information and career opportunities in health care, and she has also focused on increasing student awareness of mental health issues to build their self-advocacy skills.  She has participated in our Senior Reality Store, and has been an active participant on our Academic & Career Advisory Board.  She desire to explore new ways to partner has been a true gift to our district and students.

SCHULTES GREENHOUSE

Christine Schultes

Christine Schultes at Schultes Greenhouse plays a vital role in creating inclusive spaces for all learners, including those in the special education program. She collaborates with the Serving Others Insight program, helping students craft holiday gnomes for downtown Pewaukee, while generously sharing her resources and expertise. Christine also partners with Pewaukee High School for their Future Ready Day, teaching students gardening skills and offering helpful pointers on planting. Known for her creativity, she takes ideas from staff and students, adding her unique flair to bring them to life, making her a valued contributor to the community and school programs.

PLE Reading Team

KARI RIDOLFI, REBECCA ROGERS, CHRISTINA SWANSON, KIMBERLY FLESCH

The PLE Reading Team, made up of Kari Ridolfi, Christina Swanson, Rebecca Rogers, and Kimberly Flesch, has been an invaluable support system for staff, especially during the first year of Act 20 implementation. They went above and beyond by creating example documents, letters, and forms to simplify the process for all teachers. The team tested hundreds of students, alleviating stress from teachers and ensuring the smooth flow of the testing process. Their commitment to maintaining open doors and flexible schedules provided continuous support for teachers, helping them navigate the challenges of the testing windows and the implementation of reading plans with ease.

Insight Global Business Team

The Insight Global Business Team, consisting of Sharon Straub, John Blechacz, and Taylor Lange, has made a significant impact on the Pewaukee School District by contributing their expertise and resources to enhance the educational experience. They have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting both students and staff, particularly in areas of career exploration and business development. Their collaboration with the district has fostered meaningful learning opportunities, providing students with valuable insights into the business world. Through their partnership, they have helped bridge the gap between education and real-world experience, inspiring students to pursue their career goals with confidence and knowledge.

PLE Morning Arrival Team

The PLE Morning Arrival Team, consisting of Christina Roth, Christa Banholzer, Tricia Urban, Kylie Hoang, Matt Opie, and Sierra Gill, plays a vital role in creating a positive and safe start to the school day. Rain or shine, they are outside every morning, ensuring that students can enter the school safely. As the first faces students see each day, they make these moments special by greeting each student with warm smiles and hugs. This team provides the welcoming atmosphere that every student deserves, setting a positive tone for the rest of their day.

ANGIE FULFER, BRYNN JAKUBOWSKI, COLLEEN ROONEY

Horizon Instructional Coaches

Angie Fulfer, Brynn Jakubowski, and Colleen Rooney, Horizon’s instructional coaches, have redefined what instructional coaching means at the school. They’ve dedicated countless hours to professional learning and reading to expand their skills as coaches, which they have used to help Horizon teachers embrace coaching as a valuable tool for everyone. Their focus on Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and a student-centered approach has contributed to a shift in the school’s culture, ensuring that all teachers prioritize supporting every student. Leading with kindness, empathy, and instructional expertise, Angie, Brynn, and Colleen’s collaboration has greatly benefited all Horizon teachers and enhanced the overall learning environment.

ANGIE LEWEK, AMANDA SORKNESS, KATIE WILLIAMS

PHS Counselors

Angie Lewek, Amanda Sorkness, and Katie Williams, the Pewaukee High School counseling team, embody balance and care in their work, providing non-judgmental support for both students and staff. They play an essential role in creating an enriching environment on campus, managing a variety of behind-the-scenes tasks such as testing coordination, junior conferences, scheduling, and academic and career planning lessons. Despite their extensive responsibilities, they consistently prioritize daily support for students, ensuring their well-being and academic success. Amanda, Katie, and Angie are truly dedicated to making Pewaukee High School a better place for all students.
