The Buildings and Grounds

Department is responsible for maintaining the four schools and surrounding acreage located on the Pewaukee Public Schools campus.

 

The Department supports the District’s strategic plan by assuring that all facilities are safe, clean and properly maintained for student learning. It also focuses on capital planning, energy management, cost saving initiatives and community use of school facilities. Capital improvements are prioritized annually and recommended to the Business Office.

JOHN STANGLER

John Stangler has served as the Director of Buildings and Grounds and Safety Coordinator for Pewaukee School District since 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in coaching competitive athletics, as well as a Master’s in Exercise and Sport Science – Sport Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

 

John has received multiple certifications, including the WASBO Facilities Certification, Certified School Risk Management (CSRM), and the School Safety & Security Coordinator Certification from WSCCA. In 2017, he was honored with the WASBO School Facilities Manager of the Year award, and in 2022, he received the Wisconsin School Safety Coordinator of the Year award. John loves working for Pewaukee because of the autonomy to make impactful decisions, the supportive culture, and the incredible team. He finds the dedication and passion of his colleagues inspiring, and values the collaborative and welcoming environment that makes every day meaningful. For John, Pewaukee is a place that truly values growth and community.
